Vcom Match List 2023 – Anyone have a strong opinion on Vcom-VA vs Cusom? I looked at the previous threads a few years ago, but I was wondering if getting old changes things. Thanks for any help!

Isn’t it better to match first choice in vcom? Also, I think connecting to VT will give you more resources. IE has more research capabilities.

I really like Blacksburg, I haven’t done much with customs but it makes sense. vcom is less than 8K per year and cost of living is same in both cases

Thank you for your help! My wife is applying next cycle so I want her to have CNA or medical scribe options next year so I should consider that too. in which school do you study? How many times have you tried the DO course so far?

My point is that I was in the same boat and chose CUSTOM because of the difference in curriculum. VCOM-Va is better, but they can do 3-4 tests a week. As for the cost, I don’t know how many people get a scholarship in CUSOM, but I got a 10k scholarship to clear the tuition difference between the two.

Vcoms syllabus is better than imo especially on friday off week or w/e. Great if you find yourself on the wrong side of a pass and need to fix something without stopping. Also, having only one hard subject at a time allows for better mastery IMO. Vcom’s impressive performance is due to its excellent board layout.

But CUSOM gme is very good and finally its syllabus is not good but offers opportunities which vcom cannot match. If I had to choose between the two, I’d go with Campbell.
