According to setlist.fm, yesterday’s concert — January 10 — was the band’s first show in 670 days at the Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon (the previous date was March 11, 2020 at the Moda Center in Portland). And they kicked things off in style, opening with title track Fear Inoculum before an impressive performance of Opiate, The Pot and more. Tool – Right in Two is being released for the first time since 2011 and Pushit and Hooker with a Penis are being released for the first time since 2014.

Why Tool Have Rejected Stadium Shows
Prog metal titans Tool kicked off their 2022 world tour last night in Eugene, Oregon, playing their first show since being forced to cancel tour dates for the first time due to the pandemic.
The 670-day wait looks to have been worth it, with some videos and images shared from the night showing off the kaleidoscopic visuals we’ve come to love and expect from the band.

Although the production value is much higher than the band’s rehearsal footage released earlier this week, listening to these haunting tunes is enough to send shivers down your spine.
Although the band only played 13 songs (a disadvantage of having songs that average less than five minutes), they still managed a (nearly) professional collection of cover material from 1992.
EP until Fear Inoculum 2019. In fact, the band’s debut album is the only one not covered on this collection.

The instrumental is set to return to the UK in May as part of a wider European tour, which kicks off in Copenhagen on April 23 and ends in Budapest on May 24. The Tools UK shows are their first domestic dates since 2007. , when they performed three shows in London and Manchester. The band will headline the festival in 2019, 13 years since their last performance.
