Apr 02, 2023: Misery Made Me Usa & Canada Tour 2023 At Sherman Theater Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, United States
I first had the pleasure of photographing LoG’s performance in 2018 at the Cellairis Amphitheater in Atlanta when they toured with the legendary Slayer on their latest tour with Anthrax, Will and Death of Napalm. another LoG show based on my previous experience with the band. This time I had the opportunity to photograph them when they were on a private trip. One of our colleagues (Richard Davenport) was lucky enough to photograph the Metal Tour of the Year featuring LoG, Megadeth, Trivium and In Flames at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
Joining LoG on the Omens Tour are Killswitch Engage, Baroness and Suicide Silence. If you’ve been following the news for a while, you know that the Baroness has already featured in my column due to their intimate show in The Earl’s (2015) as well as their War on Women Tour at the Gold & Gray Buckhead Theater (2019) . ). . Suicide Silence also participated in the 2017 tour celebrating the 10th anniversary of Hailey Page’s debut album The Cleansing.
Deadcore band Suicide Silence from Riverside, California will kick off the evening. Together since 2002. The band consists of Chris Garza (rhythm guitar), Mark Heilmun (guitar), Dan Kenny (bass), Herman “Eddie” Hermida (vocals) and Ernie Iniges (tour drummer). The band has released six (6) LPs and their highly anticipated seventh (7) LP is due out in 2023.
Silverstein Kick Off Tour With Spinning Wheel + Live Debuts
. November 1, 2012 It would be remiss not to mention or honor founder and former frontman Mitch Luker, who tragically died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle/car accident on October 31, 2012. Mitch. Their first three (3) LPs were a major influence on their creation, including the epic debut,
Eddie Hermida (ex-All Shall Fall) knew he had a big opportunity when he took over vocal duties a year later (October 2, 2013). Since then, Eddie and the boys have released three (3) incredible albums.
Tonight, Suicidal Peace took the stage in front of an enthusiastic crowd who cheered loudly before the first riff consumed them for the next 30 minutes. Unfortunately, due to traffic and the Atlanta Braves game at the same location, I missed the first couple of songs. At the same time, I could not get into the photo pit of their set. Luckily, I could listen to the latest Suicide Silence songs from the photographer’s booth in the lobby.

On stage was Baroness, a Slide/alternative/progressive metal band from Savannah, Georgia. house. Since the band’s inception in 2003, Baroness has released five (5) LPs and two (2) live EPs. The current members of the band are John Bazeley (vocals/rhythm guitar/keyboards/percussion), Nick Yost (bass/keyboards/). additional backing vocals), Gina Gleason (lead guitar/backing vocals) and Sebastian Thomson (drums). The Baroness made a musical breakthrough with her debut album.
, I was very surprised. Through their screams and brutal riffs, then adding powerful lyrics and mixing them with Appalachian dirt, Baroness made a name for themselves in the music scene, becoming one of the best performers to ever grace the stage. Regardless of the venue or the size of the stage, every time the Baroness takes the stage, they show the audience what it’s like to “enjoy performing in front of the fans”. If you’ve never seen The Baroness live, you’ll soon have to change that, so keep checking their tour page to find out when they’re heading your way. You won’t regret it.

Killswitch Engage were there to play and the crowd made it clear how much they wanted to see them play. Killswitch Engage is a Westfield metalcore band formed in 1999. They have released eight (8) records and three (3) live records since their formation. The band consists of Mike D’Antonio (bass), Adam Dutkiewicz (guitar/backing vocals), Jesse Leach (vocals), Justin Foley (drums) and Joel Strozel (rhythm guitar/backing vocals). They are best known for their landmark album,
(2004), was certified Gold by the RIAA, and the title track was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance (2005). This will be my first time seeing Killswitch live and I can see why the fans love them live. From the very beginning, each participant was ready to keep the audience’s enthusiasm at the highest level with their performance. Adam Dutkiewicz especially liked to communicate with people. I know a few lucky rail riders were thrilled when Jesse Leek jumped off the stage into a photo pit during the first few songs.

It’s finally time for LoG to take the stage and give the public what they want! Hearing the excitement of the people, any group would have been excited and prepared for the massacre. A large curtain closed the stage and Randy’s silhouette appeared on the stage, providing cover for the start of “Memento Mori”. When the curtain came down, the crowd lost it and LoG started playing “Memento Mori” non-stop, with a very energetic Randy Blythe jumping around the stage. But think about it? LoG also brought pyrotechnics to the scene, and I’ll tell you, this effect added something special to them. Every photographer that night knew that Randy was going to “jump” but now we know he’s going to do it with pyrotechnics in the background.
All in all, it was a fantastic set from LoG, interspersing old fan-friendly songs with newer songs from their extensive discography. By the last song the pit was full and many fans stayed in the pit during this set. respect
